I apologize for the recent lack of blogging. Work has been hulla busy (always a wonderful thing here as more work = more business = more money in my pocket).
Also, I haven't been doing much that's very interesting (also, not as bad as it sounds as I'm enjoying the peace and quiet).
What I have been up to is shopping for a new car. The whole process has been mildly traumatic because buying a new car means I have to trade in my old one.
And I have a whole bunch of emotional attachment to my current vehicle. My baby, my 2003 Honda Civic, was the first major purchase I made, on my own...without a co-signer, when I got my job here in Milwaukee. To me, she personifies my independence and coming into my own. She's served me very well for the last 3 years.
But, the time has come for me to let her go.
This evening I'm headed over to the dealership to pick up my new red 2005 Acura MDX. Man, oh man, is she sweet! Decked out with tan leather interior, sunroof, 6-disc in-dash CD player and (best of all) a voice recognition navigation system.
This car R.O.C.K.S. But I'm not sure I'm prepared for everything it personifies....hello? "Soccer mom", anyone?
