Spinning Sucks, Swimming Swallows, Running Rocks My World

Yeah, so this morning was my first spinning class and I DID NOT like it. Then again, I didn’t/don’t like the swimming class either. I’m thinking this doesn’t bode well for triathlon training. That only leaves me with one of the three sports that I actually enjoy...running.

But RUNNING! That I like.

When I started this training thing, I set a goal for myself to complete a 5K by spring (no walking, running the whole thing). I’ve moved that timeline up a bit....ok, a lot.

Next weekend, I’m going to do the Jingle Bell Walk/Run for Arthritis. It should be more fun that your average 5K benefit run...everyone wears holiday (Christmas) attire, ties jingle bells on to their shoes, and runs through the Milwaukee County Zoo.

I’ve even enlisted support: Alf, Maggie, and Maria have agreed to run it too. Anyone else in the area want to join me? A little mouse told me that Craig may provide liquid nourishment. Hey, I may be getting in shape, but I’m still ME!

Nice work on doing the 5K! It is all about pushing yourself. I used to hate the swim, but really enjoy it now. Nice shoes by the way, nothing beats Asics and Brooks!
