Oh, come on, it's been WEEKS since I talked about my weight or working out.
There's a reason for that, of course. I fell off the wagon over Christmas and New Years. Ended up gaining 6 pounds (note: Craig gained 7, so this was definately a family thing). Well, I'm back on the wagon and have lost 3 of those 6. I'm halfway to where I started this season. In my attempt to jump back on the wagon, I thought that I'd finally attempt a 'brick' workout. For the triathlon-speak-impaired, this means doing two legs of a triathlon back to back. This morning, it means that I did the 15 mile bike followed by the 5K run. Here's how my morning went:
4:50 alarm goes off, hit snooze
5:00 alarm goes off again, haul ass out of bed (note: even the dogs won't move) and attempt to pack bag with clothes for work IN THE DARK
5:15 leave the house, pray that I didn't forget anything and everything I packed matches
5:30 arrive at gym, 10 min warmup on the elliptical
5:40 tricep, bicep and chest weights (did I mention I want PIPES?!)
6:00 start biking
6:45 end biking, start running
7:15 end running (pray for death), STRETCH some more
7:25 25 sit ups
7:30 shower and drag my ass to work
I couldn't be bothered with a blowdryer this morning, let alone curlers. I'm scrubby clean today. Thank God I do all of my work over the phone and don't actually SEE my clients every day. In summary, the workout went well but I'm tired. There's a good reason they recommend doing a brick workout only once a week.
