Wrap-Up: The Paper and My Blog

So, I couldn't contain myself. I had to e-mail Mr. Kane yesterday and let him know I had posted a response to his article on my site, and provided him with the link. I was quite impressed with how quickly he responded (almost immediately).

Turns out he had my post from last fall because he had used it with a journalism class he was teaching at the time. To which, my head inflates even further and my ego swells...MY BLOG?! You used MY BLOG in your journalism class AND in the paper. Gee, I'm completely flattered now.

Anyway, I think it's good that people don't take blogs (at least mine) too seriously. Fer cryin' out loud...when was the last time I had a juicy post like this instead of blather about training, weight loss, my puppies, or the Badgers?

So, that's that. Back to your regularly scheduled program...

i know most of us don't blog about anything of consequence, but i'd want to know if my blog was being used in a journalism class.

mildly from copyright/intellectual property (not that i have much to protect, but it seems so many papers have trouble correctly attributing blogs for articles) and mostly out of curiosity.

Cat, the coolest part about your blog is that it represents a window into every day real life. You are one of the nomads that has set root and settled down, but are still able to paint the picture of life as you know it in a fascinating way that keeps readers coming back. It's great to have a solid blogger like you talk about life in a community, as opposed to only discussing travels. When people tell me that they don't want to blog because they aren't traveling anymore I always point them to your blog.
