As the Pendulum Swings...

So, just a few weeks ago, I was complaining about how I haven't gotten plugged in to anything here and was having a hard time meeting new people. I decided to audition for the Plano Civic Chorus and join the Junior League...both of which are now promising to fill up my days.

In addition, though, we started getting settled in at church and registered for some classes through the park and rec department. And on Saturday, I recieved an invitation to the neighborhood ladies group, which meets monthly.

This weekend I realized that I now have a problem of a different kind...I don't have much FREE time at all!

Monday nights: Choir Rehearsal
Tuesday nights: Prenatal yoga class
Wednesday nights: In-home bible study
Thursday nights: Ballroom dance class
Friday nights: Date night with my hubby

WHEW!

Sure teaches you to be careful what you wish for. Now I'm having to CHOSE one activity over another. But that's a problem I'd much rather have. I went to a ladies brunch at the church on Saturday and it was AWESOME to meet some lovely women in the church. Everyone was very welcoming and I'm looking forward to Wednesday nights now.

WHOO HOO!

I'm so happy to hear that you're finding a community - a number of different communities, actually. Nothing makes "home" like having friends around to share your interests. :)
